Homemade Candles

I use beeswax, soy wax, and gel wax to make homemade candles in my apothecary. I prefer using soy and beeswax because they are organic and do not have all of the chemicals known to cause headaches and other side effects as paraffin wax. Gel wax is clear, non-toxic, and is made from a combination of mineral oil and polymer resin. I use both essential oils and fragrance oils. I use both liquid dye and mica powder to dye candles colors. When using mica, it changes the color of the melted wax, creating a shimmer of color in the melted wax pool. Liquid candle dye changes the color of the candle in both cold and melted form. I utilize wax molds, stones, crystals, dried herbs and flowers, coffee beans, cinnamin sticks, star anise, cloves, dried blood oranges, charms, and many other different items in candles for decor, scent, and souvenirs. I enjoy decorating candle jars with macrame, ribbon, charms, etc. I am happy to make a custom candle for you, should you have a preference of products!!
